FROM DEAD ISLAND TO DYING LIGHT
(Hey! Did I spot some Free Running there?!)
Techland's succes of Dead Island will hopefully brings us something new.
Dying Light started out as a Dead Island sequel, but Techland made it a complete new video game because it would contain brand new features, such as a massive open world, new zombies, real time day/night cycle, better graphics, and new game mechanics. On May 8, 2014 Techland announced that the game was delayed due to a "desire to innovate". At E3 2014, Techland announced that Dying Light will have a strong emphasis on role-playing.
In Dying Light, a first-person, action survival horror game, players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning's first light in a vast open world filled with danger. During the day, players will traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which only appear after sundown.
When Dying Light is released in 2015, it will be published by WB. The 100-year-old company, publisher of the Batman: Arkham games, has given Techland full creative control over Dying Light. It will be released when Techland decides to release it (the game's release date was officially pushed, by Techland, from late 2014 into 2015), and will be the game Techland wants it to be. more ...
Year Of The Shadowrun
Posted by: AgentAnderson on Friday July 19, 2013 (04:11:10)
Shadowrun Returns. Literally.
The world has changed…
Magic is no longer just for fairy tales. It’s real. While technology has merged with flesh to challenge the strength of old world sorcery. Now people are more than just people; after an unexplained genetic event, some of them have developed traits that have left them labeled as elves, dwarfs, orks, and trolls. And dragons aren’t just in picture books–they’re very real, and they’re running nations and some of the biggest corporations in the world.
People call it the Sixth World, and it’s not a friendly place. Mega corporations have ruthlessly consolidated power, and they make everyone, from the lowliest sage slave to the most powerful government leader, dance to their tune. Many people sell their lives to these megacorps, believing they have no choice. But there are a few who have the skills, the guts and the nerve to stay independent, finding a way to live in the gray areas of a world not built for them. They can survive–and if they’re real lucky–thrive in the corners and shadows of the world. They’re outlaws, but they’re tolerated by the powers of the world because they’re useful. They are called shadowrunners.
The Shadowrun universe has been around since the late 80's in many forms. From its' roots as a pen and paper role playing game, to video games across various consoles and PC generations, to collectible card games and fairly large miniature games.
Technology and magic mix with different races to create a unique future universe with lots of action and destruction. Here in 2013, they are upgrading the Shadowrun universe for 3 different platforms. Already out is the 5th Edition of the Shadowrun RPG. Later this year is another release of a card game, although not so collectible. That brings us to next week, July 25th... Shadowrun Returns!
It will hopefully be a true successor to the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis games from the 90's. Even though it is a single player game, it looks to be another great turn-based tactical RPG.

First and foremost, my apologies to those who used this site on a regular basis up until the critical errors started happening. I put off updating the code here and eventually it fell too far behind.
The Good News - The site is working again.
The Not So Good News - Some modules/blocks are not supported anymore and may not work, or barely work at all.
If you happen to see something wrong or something not working properly, head on over to The Error Reporting Forum and post about it so I can look into it.
There is only one theme as of now and others will be updated soon.
Are you ready for spring?
