Now Daryl Hill wants to know why an MP3 video player he bought at a Wal-Mart in Sparta was preloaded with pornography and explicit songs. Hill bought three of the players as Christmas presents for his children. He said one of the devices had apparently been returned to the store from a previous owner who loaded sex clips and songs with lyrics about using drugs. “Within 10 minutes, my daughter was crying,” Hill said Thursday. “I wish I could take the thoughts and images out of her head.” Hill questioned why Wal-Mart Stores Inc. would sell used merchandise as new, which he said violates its own policies. A company spokesman said in an e-mail to WSMV-TV of Nashville that stores are not supposed to return opened packages to the sales floor and that the matter was under investigation. Hill said he declined Wal-Mart's offer to replace the MP3 player. He said he has already bought his daughter a new one and is hanging onto the controversial one until he talks to a lawyer.

I realize that Tennessee is not the best place to live or make enough money to shop somewhere else, but Wal Mart ?? C'mon kin-folk.... Buy online from a reputable store !!! Plan ahead and you can get free shipping also. But this isn't about human stupidity. It is about Wal Mart sucking so bad. Maybe it is about stupidity.... Maybe the dad should have tried them out before wrapping them up. I would hate to have my kids open up a present on Xmas day and find it broken, while the other 2 siblings are enjoying theirs.... BAD DAD !!! Of course he most likely works minimum wage and can't get the 12:00 to stop flashing on his Beta Max from the 80's.... I wish he knew how to operate the players because I would love to see what was on them. And imagine what the guy before them was doing at the time he had the player !!

The consumer protection agency needs to get involved. If you ever go into one of the stores, you will see all sorts of opened stuff on the shelves. Not just stuff opened by customers checking the items out, but boxes that are taped back up to make them appear new. I can imagine buying clothes there....
