Project Necrosis is a post apocalyptic zombie 'MMORPG'... Click here, click there, search for this, secure that..... No trigger fingers required. It differs entirely from Urban Dead in that it is not really an active massive multiplayer game. It is in its' own way. Even though it is in Beta Testing and somewhat delayed (The main server is down, but their temp 'Sandbox' server is up), it is still very playable.
You start the game by creating your character.... Human Survivor or Zombie... Zombie. Then choosing a class for yourself to enjoy. I won't get into the specifics, but it is pretty much straight forward.
One of the first screens visible is the main screen showing the basics of your 'Stronghold'....
The top row is mostly extra stuff not really needed at this time.
The left block consists of the 'Main Menu' for the screen you are on. Clicking one of those choices brings you to the appropriate screen.
The right block displays statistical info about the area, yourself, your stronghold and your Zombie neighbors. The graphics below your personal info are about the outside area. Basically it is snowing, the grid is powered, the roads are not so good (Red X), there is a mutation/virus around, and anarchy in the streets. The rest is pretty easy to figure out. The only thing clickable is your avatar....
On the bottom is a primitive chat box that has to be enabled in options. It is primitive in that there is a refresh button and the most recent chat is at the top..... Go figure.
The main center block is where most info is shown. Here you can see your stronghold name and if it is public or not, The state of the power grid and how many generators/fuel you have, and a simple wording of how many structures and supplies you have.
When you start the game, you are alone and you can't carry much. You need to look for others. When you click the Exit Stronghold button, you come to a few other screens with options on how to leave. Pretty easy. When you get outside, look for a Hunt Area button in the left block and choose it. You will get a choice of what to look for. Choose Hunt For Survivors. That brings you to the above screen. Other Hunt screens are similar. After the ad, you can continue to search by choosing the button on the left side. When successful, it tells you how many people you have and acquired this last search, along with other advancements and negative effects. If you want to start searching for something else, just click the button/name in the bar above the main screen (Survivor, Structure, Equipment, Resources). Equipment means weapons and armor..... Generators are under Resources.

Here's another tip:
Zombie Pandemic is a free browser based and massive multiplayer role playing game (a MMORPG PBBG). You are a survivor in a zombie infested city - will you survive making it to one of the safehouses?
The game features enriched RPG elements, including advanced combat, a skill tree and use of realistic navigation on a real world map. The game world consists of hundreds of locations offering even more game events and quests in a rich storyline set in an apocalyptic zombie outbreak.
Zombie Pandemic is currently in development. We are scheduled for launch first quarter of 2009.

Ive heard of bitefight, played it before. Wasn't all that great but ill take a look at Hell Rising.
:Edit: Hell Rising is a good game, better than Urban Dead( to me anyways, I know that some people might actually prefer Urban Dead). But kinda empty, can't find no one to blast

I've recently picked the game up at where I left it and I must say, it's kinda fun!
The reason why it seems that there aren't that many people around is probably because of the "hiding"-skill.
Search a place a few times to find someone.
I hope to meet ya soon in-game Lolzwheejars!

Yes there is..... Hopefully by the end of this year we could see the Project return....
Oooooh, I think that's a safe bet...
I can't give out a release date yet because it all depends on how much I can get done but I can tell you that the "core" of the game which I've been designing and writing on and off for quite some time is now complete, hence the change on the site.
I know I'm saying it but I love the new concept and so far everyone I've talked to about it loves the way it's going to work but I will warn you now that I know for a fact it's not going to please everyone. I've given up trying to please everyone and just designed a game that works, that I enjoy writing and that the gamers I know personally think will draw in a modest cult following... I'm not interested in thousands of registrations, I just want a lot of dedicated players.
Just to leak a bit more exclusive info I can tell you that there's no limits on the amount of time you can play as we don't use action points or something equally as silly but more importantly there's no possibility of you being hit or killed before you get a chance to see what has happened and respond. The new game mechanics mean the game plays in a structured and organised fashion and that's not going to be to everyone's liking.
I've got tons left to do but I can say hand on heart that the hard bit is finished... At last.
Thanks for taking an interest, hope to see you on the forums!

Hey Malphas, fancy meeting you here. I used to help Malphas test this game back in the day and was hooked. I can't wait to see what he has in the works since last time I played it.

*Is back!* DUN DUN DUH! Lol... Anyways, just a question about Zombie Pandemic, is it still in progress? Or have they stopped working on it?
Or something? I dunno, just want to know.

I am not sure about Zombie Pandemic but I hope that it is still around. Malphas stops by our site and gives us updates and things when he can. I was addicted to this game back during beta stages. Malphas is in the process of re-doing the site and I am looking forward to him getting things rolling again.
